Idox Group
Rationalising the brand positioning of an acquisitive software business
An enhanced UI delivering a better brand experience.
Idox is an AIM-listed developer of specialist software for government, with solutions covering everything from electoral management systems to building control.
After a period of rapid growth, fuelled by an aggressive acquisition programme, Idox called on Industry to develop a new, unifying brand to consolidate its position in the local government market and tap into the drive for digital transformation.
What we delivered:
– Customer research
– Brand positioning
– Segment propositions
– Brand architecture
– Brand identity
– Website design
– Software UI design
– Brand campaigns
A niche brand proposition focused on the needs of local government
Extensive market research and in-depth interviews led to a powerful, punchy proposition: “Idox. Do more.”
Playing on the ‘do’ in Idox, the new proposition addresses the core customer need to drive greater productivity in local government, and meet rising citizen expectations, with increasingly limited financial resources – in other words, do more with less.
A multi-faceted logo, representing a singular solution
One of Idox’s unique selling points is the ability of its software solutions to integrate, giving governments the ability to deliver seamless end-to-end services.
Inspired by the modularity of Idox Software, the new cube logo represents the integration of multiple platforms and systems coming together as a single, connected solution.
An enhanced UI delivers a better brand experience
We helped improve the user experience by creating consistency in the design language and interactions across software applications. Not only does this make it easier for government users to transition between applications, but reinforces the brand identity.
Idox’s intuitive interface is a key brand touchpoint for government. Industry worked with Idox to create a set of UI guidelines to ensure the design language was clear and consistent, and future updates could be rolled out seamlessly.
“Working with Industry has been a valuable experience for Idox. Their digital design expertise and attention to detail have played a crucial role in shaping our user interface design standards. Through close collaboration, we’ve established a robust framework of UI guidelines that are helping us maintain consistent and user-friendly digital products.”
